TITLE:   Helpdesk Technician Level 3

LOCATION:  Bellevue, WA, USA - Onsite

Helpdesk Technician Level 3

The Helpdesk Technician will be joining the IT team in a Microsoft-centric environment.  The position will own PC lifecycle management from end to end, to include OS, 3rd party integrations, unique software packaging and documentation, this will require meeting with teams across the organization to understand TerraPower’s unique needs. The Level 3 Technician will also serve as an escalation point for more advance and complex technical issues.

Candidate must be experienced and able to work on-site in a fast-moving environment, including triaging and prioritizing issues and incidents, while maintaining strong and professional customer service.  

Additional work designated will be primarily determined based on level of experience, areas of interest, strengths in background and work history.

Responsibilities

         PC Lifecycle Management

         Active Directory Account maintenance

         Software Packaging deployment and updates

         Unique Application Support

         Endpoint management

         Occasional Travel to other sites in Bellevue and Everett

         Training and Mentoring of lower tier technicians.

         Documentation of processes and procedures.

Key Qualifications and Skills

         Minimum of an associate’s degree, CompTIA A+ certification with 5+ years’ experience, B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent military experience in a related field is preferred.

         Experience with Atlassian Jira ticketing system.

         Familiarity with Knowledge Management and KB lifecycle.

         A comprehensive understanding of desktop and laptop hardware lifecycle from end to end.

         Comprehensive understanding of Windows Operating System lifecycle management from end to end.

         Experience with rapid deployment imaging technologies such as MDT and SCCM.

         A general understanding of DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP, and wireless networking, as well as how to troubleshoot them.

         Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux patching, troubleshooting, and utilization.

         Proficiency with software packaging and deployment through MECM and VM Ware Horizon.

         Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify hardware and software needs

         Excellent written and verbal communications.

         Assist the Help Desk manager in hiring, mentoring, and training of Tier 1 and Tier 2.

         General knowledge of automation and usage of automation tools.

         Familiar with ITIL or other process improvements methodology.

         A general understanding of modern Information Security principles and practices.

         Possess a growth mindset and seek continuous improvement.

         The successful candidate will possess a high degree of integrity and trust, communicate openly, and display respect as well as a desire to foster teamwork.

         Be able to work onsite at our locations in Bellevue and Everett 4 days a week.

         Available for on-call or after-hours response.

Job details

Salary Range Level 8: $84,476 - $126,714

*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands.  Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  This range is specific to Washington State.
