Human Resources Generalist 

TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Generalist to support our growing and dynamic team. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will collaborate closely with engineering and corporate teams to drive HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. The successful candidate will provide guidance on a range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, internship programs, compensation and benefits, HRIS Systems, data entry, learning and development, and compliance with employment laws and company policies, ensure HR data protection and reporting accuracy, and contribute to the continuous improvement of policies and processes. Responsibilities

    Provide thoughtful and forward-thinking HR Generalist Support for TerraPower employees and for HR specific initiatives and HR Programs.

    Provide program support and associated responsibilities for HR reporting, compliance reporting and dashboards and record retention

    Provide upkeep of HRIS and employee data and support any changes in HRIS systems and programs

    Provide support and administration of compensation, benefit and mobility/remote worker programs in collaboration with Payroll and benefits department

    Provide support and administration of learning and development, policy/process development/review and other HR programs

    Support company performance management and development program in support of a culture of constant learning

    Support Recruiter in activities, external communications with vendors and reporting related to TerraPower’s Affirmative Action Plan

    Support Recruiter with special projects and events as needed

    Provide support for employee relations, onboarding and offboarding as well as a variety of employee engagement initiatives

    Serve as point of contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures via email, teams, HR ticketing services.

    Provide extensive onboarding program support, including collection of data (transcripts, certifications, etc.), maintaining checklists, workflows and gatekeeping as needed to ensure program compliance.

    Collaborate with internal partners including payroll, finance, administration team and more

    Creation and editing of HRIS procedures user guides, toolkits forms and training materials. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications and Skills

    B.S. degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources Management or a related professional discipline

    4+ years of experience in progressive HR roles in a corporate environment with at least 3+ years of generalist responsibilities

    HR Experience in an engineering or technical organization is preferred

    Cross-group collaborator with solid problem-solving abilities, high degree of personal initiative and ability to function autonomously as well as in a managed environment

    Understanding of talent acquisition practices

    Ability to understand and articulate the TerraPower value proposition and culture

    Strong business acumen to translate the needs of the business into HR solutions

    Proven analytical, communication and influencing skills with an exceptional ability to build trust & credibility across the organization

    Thrives in an innovative and nimble environment with ability to manage to changing priorities

Job details

Salary Range Level 9:  $99,041 - $148,561

*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands.  Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  This range is specific to Washington State.
