Advisory Training Materials Specialist

The Advisory Training Materials Specialist reports to the Corporate Training Manager and is responsible for the effectiveness of the training program. This position requires advanced knowledge of NQA-1 requirements for training development and records.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer the technical training including software, coordination, procedures, and curriculum/content development on behalf of the technical teams.

• Resolve issues with the training program (procedures and software applications).

• Maintain training program related standard operating documents.

• Support all corporate, discipline, and project training requirements.

• Assists line management in the conduct of training needs analysis.

• Develop and provide training content, courses, quizzes, curriculum (qualifications), and surveys based on guidance from training needs analysis performed supporting technical management and staff.

• Coordinate classroom-based training as requested by instructors and/or course owners.

• Ensure regulatory requirements are within the overall training program.

• Ensure training records are maintained in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Manage the training learning management system and database.

• Ensure training content and curricula for technical teams are in strict compliance with the Quality, Environmental, and Safety and Health program standards to protect the employees and public from radiological, chemical, and physical hazards associated with facility operations.

• Support technical team with reports and metrics on training.

• Guides personnel in the systematic approach to training.

• Advises and provides support to the Training Program Coordinator on Training Program changes needed to support technical staff.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• B.A./B.S. degree in a relevant/related discipline from an accredited college or university.

• Individual should have 10+ years of training experience to include course instruction, training material development, and/or training program assessment/evaluation. Prior instructor certification preferred.

• Proficient in SAP-SuccessFactors or similar platform.

• Proficient planning and execution skills for meeting regulatory and operational requirements.

• Excellent skills in the systematic approach to training and training management.

• Possess demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor in interacting and collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders.

• Able to operate and multi-task in a challenging/dynamic environment while demonstrating planning, coordination, and organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with little oversight or supervision.

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication, verbal, and written skills that are clear, concise, and accurate.

• Excellent attention to detail in writing and reviewing of documents, such as procedures and training material.

• Experience under NRC or DOE regulation is required.

• Experience developing SCORM or AICC compliant content with content developer tools; experience with Camtasia is preferred.

• Experience developing and managing training under the ADDIE model preferred.

• INPO ACAD principles for Systematic Approach to Training is strongly preferred.

Job Details

Salary Range Level 11: $120,671 - $201,119

Salary Range Level 12: $163,702 - $226,844

*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands.  Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  This range is specific to Washington State.
