Warehouse Coordinator

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overall smooth operation of TerraPower’s storage warehouse. This worker will be responsible for activities such as shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, contractor coordination, and general warehouse upkeep. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for keeping the warehouse well inventoried and stocked with necessary supplies. This role will face various challenges and must be able to multitask several jobs being performed at once. This position is in support of Laboratory Activities at TerraPower’s main lab facility.

Responsibilities:

Confer with Lab personnel to coordinate experiments, receive and inspect shipments, perform shipping, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.

Compile information, material inventories, materials used, and min/max quantities so that inventory reports can be completed.

Perform basic warehouse duties such as trash and recycling take out, floor sweeping and cleaning, and general warehouse upkeep.

Promote safety culture.

Ensure workers are qualified on function specific equipment around the warehouse. Work with Training manager to update training based on most recent industry guidance or near misses / workplace injuries.

Act as a trainer for certain tasks in the warehouse.

Transport inventory to distribution and storage areas to support warehouse activities.

Record inventory data and quality control measures.

Purchase and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet laboratory demands.

Performs audits of inventory in both general warehouse and Quality Assurance inventories.

Review documents such as lab activity schedules and work orders to determine personnel and material requirements and priorities.

Perform box truck runs to deliver and pickup materials from various vendors and locations.

Support main laboratory activities when warehouse is not in need of attention.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Experience working in a warehouse and laboratory setting.

Minimum 3 years of experience in managing inventory systems.

Ability to effectively manage tasks and workers time to complete work with little direct supervision.

Effective written and verbal communication skills required.

Special Senses: Visual and audio focused work

Work Conditions: Must be able to work in a laboratory environment with changing temperatures. Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hrs./day

Travel required 0-5%

Using forklifts to move inventory and shipments in and out of the building, (Must be forklift certified by TerraPower Standards).

Transfer items/equipment between labs using a box truck or van, (Must be Motor vehicle operationally approved per TerraPower Standards).

Job Details:

Salary Range Level 8: $87,686 - $131,529

*We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications experience.  This range is specific to Washington State.
